2018 Faith Fair - May 26, 2018 at the Orillia Public Library
Disclaimer: The Orillia Public Library does not necessarily endorse this program and the library accepts no responsibility for any information or advice shared at this program.
The Faith Fair is sponsored by the Orillia and District Association of Churches.
To bring the churches of Orillia together by
• Celebrating our unity in the body of Christ
• Exploring the faith we share
• Witnessing our understanding of Christ's gospel to our community.
All churches and para-church organizations in Orillia and area are invited to create a display or booth at the Faith Fair. Displays should be colourful and visually engaging, depicting the worship life and ministries of your people. Tell the community about your contributions to outreach and service.
A display space equals the size of a folding table 36" X 72". Each church is required to supply its own power cords (if necessary). Each table must be staffed at all times. Each church will be required to carry insurance.
This is about unity. Tell about your church and your beliefs but be respectful of other's faith expressions. This is not a fundraising event. There will be no sales or soliciting at the Faith Fair.
If you are interested in registering your church or for further information, please contact Della Robertson at email@example.com
Throughout the year OADAC facilitates several inter-church events. Below are a few examples, but more information can be found here.
Under the auspices of OADAC, an inter-denominational faithful group gather for prayer. It is known as "Pray Without Ceasing" and meets monthly at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 99 Peter St. N. in the Coffee House. Presently, it meets on the third Thursday from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm to intercede for the needs of the larger community, as well as the faith community. "More things are wrought by prayer........" Every year, the Orillia Square Mall has been most generous in providing OADAC with a venue for its Faith Fair. Faith Fair, held in the spring, enables participating churches to greet the community at large and tell their stories using displays, handouts, activities, and Gospel focused entertainment. Another inter church activity is the annual "Love Orillia" project where Christians take one day to creatively perform deeds of kindness throughout the city. More info...
